Elgee Filter Systems manufactures two different types of rangehood filters: aluminium mesh grease or activated carbon foam.
Aluminium mesh grease filters are reusable and should be
cleaned every 3 to 4 months with warm soapy water. They have excellent fat and
oil retention characteristics and are ideally suited for ducted rangehood
systems.
Activated carbon foam filters are single use filters and
should be replaced at least every 3 to 4 months (or even more regularly if you
cook with a lot of oil!). Activated carbon foam filters are great at removing
odours and are suited for use with re-circulating rangehood systems.
We can manufacture aluminium mesh
grease filters or charcoal filters to any size in three different
thicknesses: 3mm, 8mm & 12mm. For anything above these three thickness, please
refer to our Commercial Canopy Filters.
Although there is no such thing as a standard sized Rangehood
filter we also keep a large range of commonly used sizes in stock which are
available for immediate pick-up/shipment.
